Meditation:
The Path of Enlightenment
So,
why are you here on this page?
Really,
the only reason that you can be here is that you want more peace, bliss
and love in your life.
It
doesn't matter what religion or non-religion you practice, I am not here
to give you more beliefs. I am here to help
those that are interested to deepen their own experience of
unconditional peace and joy.
From
my experience, your natural experience is
already unconditional peace, bliss and love. But because of your
identification with your mind, you cannot experience it. You have
separated yourself from it.
If
you look in this moment, you will see that thoughts continuously arise,
and with each thought, you identify with it. You grab hold of of
the thought and say "this is me, this is me."
The
thought arises "I'd rather be eating doughnuts" and automatically,
you assume you are the "I" in that sentence. So with
every thought you have, you grab hold of it and make it you.
From
this thought identification, stress is born. Because from this
perspective, you are separate from the world and you are constantly trying to survive in this
separateness. It is you against the world. There is you,
doughnuts and everything between you and that doughnut!
But
from the perspective of awareness beyond the mind, you see you are not
separate. You are connected to everything. You are a part of
everything. And so what was once fear & desire is now
unconditional love, peace and joy.
If
you look at what is here beyond the thinking, you will find that
there is a feeling that you exist in this present moment. And you
are aware that you exist. In fact, existance at this level and awareness are the same thing, you cannot separate the two.
And
the very nature of this awareness is unconditional peace, bliss and
love. Unconditional meaning it is not there for a reason.
You do not feel blissful because you just had sex or you just bought a
new car but because bliss simply is. It is your
natural experience beyond the identification with your mind and ego.
One
of the easiest ways to experience this is through meditation. And
there are two things you need to be succesful in your meditation:
The
first is simple teachings that point you in the right direction.
And there is plenty on this page to get you going.
The
second is Enlightened Presence. Call it Grace, Shaktipat Spiritual
Energy, etc. If you were lucky enough to sit with someone who
is fully enlightened, you would find that their blissful presence
naturally rubs off on you, making it easy for you to experience deep
states of blissful meditation. Their blissful presence is what I
am calling Enlightened Presence.
The
problem is, this entire humanity as a whole does not vibrate at a level
of peace. In fact, it vibrates as a whole in a high level of
stress.
So
if you try and meditate on your own without enlightened presence, the
total vibration of everything around you will keep forcing you back into
a level of stress and identification with your mind.
You
need the enlightened presence to completely transform your own body,
mind and environment so that you can get to your natural state of peace. Then
meditation is easy. It is no longer a struggle.
I
have found a way to give you this enlightened presence in a
neat, western method, and that is on audio CD.
CDs
like Ocean
Euphoric , Shakti
Silence and The
Calling give you this enlightened presence, making it hundreds of times
easier to experience states of unconditional peace in
meditation. The more you listen, the more you naturally live
in a state of peace, radiating this peace to everyone around you. You can
read more about this in the article below.
So
whether you are seeking enlightenment, to deepen your meditation or you
just want some more happiness, peace or relaxation in your life, I not
only provide you with the means, I guarantee the CDs will deepen your
experience of peace.
These
CDs are not to be confused with "binaural beats" and
"brainwave entrainment." The
natural sound technology on the Bliss Music CDs are completely unique and as our
customers will testify, far more effective.
Just
daily listening to the CDs alone will deepen your peace. But
adding to it, simple meditation practice that I can teach you in a few
minutes, the possibilities of experiencing incredible peace and truth
are limitless.

If
You Want to Live in a State of Peace
If
you want to live in a state of peace or attain enlightenment, it is
necessary that you understand energy.
Einstein
already proved that we all are made up of the same energy.
You
as a mind and body vibrate at a certain set of frequencies. There
are thousands of factors that have caused your set of vibrations
including your upbringing, the vibrations of your parents, the food you
eat, the environment in which you live, the people you spend time with,
the music that you listen to, etc. These vibrations are not set in
stone, they are constantly changing to a certain degree according to
what is influencing you at the moment.
Simply
put, if your parents were angry people, part of your experience will be
that anger. If your parents laughed a lot, chances are, you will
laugh a lot.
If
you eat healthy and take care of your body, there will be a feeling of
health and wellbeing. And people will be attracted to you because
you radiate a certain degree of health and wellbeing. If you eat
unhealthy food, you will feel sick and your body will become
sick. And you will attract sick people! All of this is
quite obvious.
If
you spend time with depressed people, some of that depression will rub
off on you, if you spend time with succesful people, chances are, some
of their success will rub off on you.
The
deeper you go in meditation, the clearer this becomes. You no
longer experience all of these separate people everywhere, but rather
energetic vibrations mixing and mingling. You
can actually feel it.
Have
you ever been to a crowded mall and after a few hours felt completely
drained? That is because all of the stress from everyone around
you has literally passed through your vibration field and you soak it
up.
But when
you come home and relax a while, you tune again to the environment
around you and your energy comes back to normal.
So
if you want enlightenment or inner peace, your energy field has to
vibrate to the set of frequencies that are unconditional love, peace and
bliss.
Unfortunately,
the vast majority of the human population vibrate at a high level of
stress. According to Dr. David Hawkin's research in Power
Vs. Force 85% of the
population calibrate at a high level of stress and aggression.
Less than 1/2 percent ever calibrate to a state of unconditional love.
This
means that whenever you do something to create peace in yourself, you
are affecting the entire world in a positive way. But
unfortunately, your new found peace is also in conflict with all of the
stress around you.
So
if you are meditating on your own, chances are your spiritual growth
will be very slow and arduous. Because there is little you against
6 billion people who radiate an unhealthy amount of stress!
That
is why there are ashrams. Places where fully enlightened teachers
live with their students. Because one other thing Dr. David
Hawkins research shows in Power Vs. Force is that even though enlightened teachers - people
who live in an unconditional state of peace represent the tiniest of
tiny percent of the population, the power of their vibration of peace is
so strong, it helps balance out the rest of the population.
That
means if you are their disciple, living in close proximity of the
teacher, their "enlightened" vibration is working on you 24
hours a day. In fact, most famous teachers today lived in close
proximity to their teacher for some time, including Maharishi Mahesh
Yogi, Muktananda, Adi Da, Gangaji, Gurumayi, Sri Chinmoy, etc.
This
is all well and good for cultures that thrive on ashrams, but our
western culture places importance on family and independence. We
want to live our own lives in our own way. Plus there is so much
fear of cults and fake gurus that it really is not the way for the
majority of the western world to find unconditional peace and
enlightenment.
That
is why I created CDs like Ocean
Euphoric and The
Calling. These CDs radiate the same enlightened presence
that the enlightened teachers do. So that any time you listen to
them, the same enlightened vibrations are working on you. It makes
meditation and attaining states of peace so much easier. Plus you
can listen to them when you work, when you sit in an airport, while you
are walking, while you are waiting in line. You listen to the CDs
as much as it is comfortable.
There
is no shortage of teachings in the west. Buy many of them get
interrepretted by the mind and translated into something else.
There is the strong westernized Advaita movement, which has helped many,
but also has created the illusion that an enlightened teacher is not
important, that meditation is not important, that enlightenment is just
some change in belief or understanding.
In
spiritual awakening, there is a complete shift at an energetic level,
that transcends the mind all together. It is the level of
awareness, which is neither the mind or body. For this to happen, there is the purification of your energy channels in your
body. And enlightened presence is needed for this to happen.
This
is nothing new, in fact, it is one of the oldest teachings on spritiual
growth, dating all the way back to the Upanishads. Living a decent
life, eating healthy, meditating, taking care of your body and being
in the proximity of enlightened presence. Very simple and
very effective.

The
Only Spiritual Experience That Matters
Although
the other experiences written about maybe inspiring, they are simply
stories in memory. If you live for your memories, then you are
dead to life. You do not notice what is here in this moment.
From
your identification with your thinking, it is thinking that is
important. But if you investigate what thought really is, you see
it is intangible, it is only noise.
The
only spiritual experience that matters is this very moment. Right here, right
now.
Close
your eyes: What is this experience you have of being alive in this
moment?
Not to describe it, define it or judge it, but to
experience it, without mental commentary. To experience the
sensation of existing in this moment. To be aware of what is here
and now, what is arising here and now.
Because
if you are here, then everything is fine. Everything is
perfect. Right now is your doorway to the truth, to freedom, to
bliss, to unconditional love. To experience this very
moment.
Not
to look for anything but to experience it as it is.
Right
now you are consciousness. There is awareness.
Some future idea of a great
spiritual experience
or memory of something that happened is not real. It only exists
in "mine," in memory. You cannot touch it, you cannot live it.
It is a movie that you store in memory and as beautiful or frightening
or funny it may be, it is still a movie.
But
in this moment, you are the totality of existance. This moment is
what is real.
Not who you
think you are but beyond your concepts, beyond your thinking and
emotions that come and go, what is here? Who are you in this
moment? What is this experience?
It
doesn't matter what it is, it matters that you allow it, that you are
aware of it. In this you are alive.
It
is the allowing and awareness that is important.
This
is the only spiritual experience that matters.

Advanced
Meditation Technique of No Identity
"The nature of awareness
is freedom from identification.
If you are aware of anger,
then you are not identified with anger.
If you are aware of a thought,
you are not identified with the thought.
The thought arises, the anger arises
but it has nothing to do with you.
Identification
is always happening
at an unconscious level.
You are walking to work
and unconsciously
identification is there.
'My name is Jon, I am a dentist,
I am on Main st. where I turn left
to go to my office...'
Always defining
'This is me.'
'This is who I am;
this is where I am;
this is what I am doing;
this is where I am going;
this is where I have been.'
So instead of practicing awareness
from the perspective of identity,
you could try consciously
not being identified with anything.
You allow the thoughts, body and sensations
to be as they are
but you consciously
disidentify with them.
'This body is not mine,
this name is not mine,
these thoughts are not mine,
this emotion is not mine,
this belief is not mine.'
Not as words to repeat
but to consciously
not identify with anything at all.
If you choose to not
have an identity
then awareness is automatic.
You will experience life
in a completely different way.
By consciously
letting go of all identity,
you exist as energy,
as formless consciousness
completely free of ego
& all the conflict and separateness
that goes with it.
Blessings,
Kip"
Being
Or Becoming
"The ego is all about
avoiding pain
and seeking pleasure.
And from this view point
you are at war with the world.
You are fighting
to be free of pain
and to have an endless
supply of pleasure.
This is the suffering.
In the extreme,
it is the absence of love
and the birth of violence.
There is nothing wrong with
experiencing hurt.
Surrendering to the hurt that is here
is how you move beyond the suffering.
It is in experiencing
yourself as you are
with all of it's
pains and pleasures
that you become alive
in the moment.
That you begin
to love without reason,
to be blissful without cause.
Not in becoming
or attaining,
or trying to fulfill
the bottomless pit
of 'I want,'
but by allowing yourself
to be as you are.
To experience what is arising
by itself in this moment.
To be aware of what is arising
by itself in this moment.
Because when you are still,
you see it is all arising
by itself.
That is the beauty of it.
It is all consciousness.
The idea that you are alone
against this enormous world
is untrue.
It is all consciousness
and you are of that consciousness
nurtured and complete.
You just have to be willing
to give up your endless effort
to become something
and simply be.
Blessings,
Kip"

Power
To Choose
"There is no victim.
It is not that a smoker
can't stop smoking,
it is that they do not want to
put the effort involved
in stopping smoking.
They are not willing to experience
the withdrawal
and the feelings they were avoiding
by smoking in the first place.
In every desire
there is the pleasure you get
from fulfilling that desire
and the avoidance
of certain feelings
you keep resisting
by fulfilling that desire.
Say you want a cookie.
You imagine the pleasure you get
from eating that cookie
and instantly there is this feeling
of wanting that cookie.
That feeling of wanting
you do not want to experience.
You may eat the cookie
to avoid the feeling of wanting
even more than the pleasure
you get from eating the cookie.
That is a huge revelation in itself.
As most things you want
are less about enjoyment
and more about avoiding
experiencing something.
That is the difference
between enjoyment
and habit.
And that is how the mind
controls you.
It is the same with being present.
It is not that you can't be a witness
to your thoughts,
it is that it requires more focus
than you are willing to give.
You believe that the pleasure
you get from being involved in your thoughts
and more so,
the emptiness you avoid experiencing
by being involved with your thoughts
is a better pay off than being a witness.
I am not here to tell you
what you should do.
I am not saying awareness
is what everyone wants
nor that surrendering
to that experience of emptiness is
an easy task.
But it is up to you.
You have the ability
to be free from your mind
in this moment.
And that freedom
is more satisfying
than anything you could
ever imagine.
That freedom
fulfills you.
You live as complete-ness
in unconditional peace.
Just by being a witness
to your thoughts,
everything will come to you.
But it is up to you
in every moment.
It is not about climbing
the mountain,
it is whether you
put your foot
in front of the other.
It is whether you
choose to be present
in this moment.
Blessings,
Kip"

Love
is Transformation
"The ego exists
out of the fundamental belief
that this moment
is not the way it should be,
and that you are not the way
you should be.
And so
as an individual identity,
you are constantly trying
to change this moment,
improve this moment,
wishing and fantasizing
about a future change
or acquisition.
At the very core
of your individual identity
there is the feeling
that you are not as
you are supposed to be.
That somewhere
there was a glitch
in the system of creation
and now you are living that mistake.
At some level,
this is necessary
so that you evolve
and seek to improve life.
But at another level,
it is the birthplace
of hatred,
it is the negation of life itself.
For if you do not accept yourself,
you cannot accept others
and there will be constant conflict
in your world.
Meditation is the process
of stopping this conflict
through being aware
of how your are in this moment,
instead of trying to change it.
By simply being
a witness to your experience
in the moment
in full acceptance,
you transcend
the ego-individual identification,
and every cell of your being
vibrates at it's natural state
of unconditional peace and love.
It is this love that transforms,
not the ego "doer."
Blessings,
Kip"

Awareness
Does Everything
"From the perspective
of the ego,
you believe that
you are the intelligent one,
and that awareness is unintelligent
and therefore you have
to get yourself enlightened.
You have to get yourself
into a peaceful state.
But the truth is,
awareness itself
is the intelligence
and transforms
everything into enlightenment.
Awareness itself
is the state of peace.
But in thinking
you are the controller,
and must do everything,
you constantly resist
the process of enlightenment.
That is the unintelligent part.
It is self importance,
the urge to control everything
that always gets in the way
and separates yourself
from your natural state
of peace and love.
All you ever have to do
is be present.
Be aware of what is here
in this moment.
The awareness itself
takes care of everything else.
In truth, there is no separate self,
it is all consciousness.
All arises out of consciousness.
That is the greatest realization.
That is the greatest freedom.
Blessings,
Kip"

The
Doorway To Bliss
If you look honestly,
the reason
you meditate
or do any spiritual practice
is to experience bliss.
Call it love, call it peace
call it fulfillment or oneness,
you are looking to be blissful.
Because if it didn't feel good,
why search for it?
Why would you look for truth
call it God, Nonduality or Buddha Nature
if it felt nasty?
You wouldn't!
You want to be blissful!
This desire lies at the very core of your being.
And there is incredible bliss to experience,
incredible love and peace and fulfillment.
Not an egotistical bliss
but a bliss without ego,
where individual identification has dissolved,
a bliss that is of all and everything
without a second.
The riddle is
that if you sit down
with the expectation of bliss,
you will probably find yourself
in a state of frustration and stress.
Because the doorway
to bliss
is to experience whatever
is here
regardless of what
that experience is.
To close your eyes
and experience
as sensation
what is here in this moment.
Whether it is delight or pain,
sadness or joy,
if you surrender to this experience
which is present
and let it consume you,
this is the doorway to bliss,
this is the doorway to your true nature.
Blessings,
Kip"

Unconditional
Love: Beyond Ideas
"In my experience,
it is all about love.
Not an idea about love,
not possession,
not attraction,
but what lies
at the very source
of your nature.
Take away all ideas.
Take away all addictions.
Take away everything that can
be taken away.
When you have no choice
but to let go of all ideas
of who you are, what you know
and what you want,
something really beautiful happens.
The source of it all
is revealed,
call it consciousness,
but it's nature is love.
Freedom, joy & unconditional love.
If you really look,
you can see in every human being
how they avoid love
by clinging on to their ideas.
Ideas & jugments themselves
become more important than love.
The idea of life
and how you think it should be
and how you think you should be
is more important
than actually being alive
in the moment.
Everyone is
trying so hard
to be this idea
of who they think they should be,
that they never discover
who they really are,
who they are that is
not created
but self existing
in this moment.
Yet in any moment,
you have the opportunity
to be fully present,
without ideas,
without being involved with
any mental activity.
Judgments can be there
but you are not involved with them.
What is there is there,
it is unimportant.
What is important
is you are here,
you are present.
Then you see,
all is not some
cold advaita
Zen koan.
The koan
was only there to help
remove what you are not.
When what you are not
is gone,
it is all about
love and devotion.
Not devotion to something
or someone or some idea
but love and devotion
self exist
without reason or cause.
It is what is left when you
take away everything that can
be taken away,
(including that voice
which keeps saying 'I know this.')
This is my experience,
and this is what I wish for you.
Because if you experience this
just for a moment,
you will see how
pointless your ideas are.
That all this time you have been
holding on to garbage.
You have been dressing up
in garbage.
Then there are no more words.
There is no ego to protect
or be right.
There is only love.
And that is completely fulfilling.
Blessings,
Kip"

You
Already Are Perfection:
"The greatest courage
one can show
in any moment
is to admit to oneself
the reality of their experience.
This is harder than it sounds
because the mind is in a constant
state of denial.
It is always trying to be
how it thinks it should be,
how it thinks others would like it to be.
It is this refusal to accept yourself,
the constant trying to change yourself
from what you are
or pretending to be
some spiritual ideal
that makes you feel unloved
and causes stress.
The way to freedom
is not in creating yourself
to be your idea of perfection
but rather to see how you truly are.
Be it jealousy, anger,
insecurity or fear,
it is through experiencing
yourself as you are
that you
experience
the infinite.
The two
are not separate.
You already
are a perfect
expression of Divinity.
All you need to do
is to observe
with honesty
what is happening
inwardly
in this moment.

Meditation
"When you learn
to witness thoughts
and stop the action
of identifying with them,
there comes a point
where the individual 'you'
with a memory, personality and a body
temporarily disappears.
It feels freeing
but at the same time
quite strange.
Although there is this incredibly
blissful flow of energy,
there is nothing to hold onto
nothing to define yourself by,
there is just witnessing without form.
The tendency is to always
jump back into identification
with your thinking
where everything is familiar
and known.
Even if you are unhappy,
you are familiar with it,
it feels like home.
So it is a huge jump
to move into witness consciousness
and requires your complete focus,
to give every thought away as it arises.
But once you make the jump,
and you are without form,
let your focus rest
on the flow of energy,
let yourself rest in the bliss that is there.
This will help you remain
in this state for longer periods of time.
Even a few seconds in this state
is incredibly transforming.
It is not that you are
jumping out of yourself
and into something completely different,
but simply you are letting go
of the limited perception you are used to
and experiencing what is always there
behind it.
You can have all the drama of your life
back in an instant if you want it,
but you have to have the courage
to let go and venture beyond
what is comfortable and known
if you want to experience the bliss
that is your true nature.

Being
Real With What is
"To experience unconditional peace,
there is only one thing
you ever need to do
and that is to be
honest with what is real
in the moment.
Because for the most part,
we try to live an idea
of the moment,
we strive to be
how we think we should be
in the moment.
We want to hold on
to some piece of wisdom
and try and mould ourselves
into that knowledge.
All of this
if you really look
creates stress.
It takes you further away
from what is here
and further away from peace & love.
So to be real
in this moment
may mean admitting
'I am being a selfish
greedy, jerk."
And if you see that
this is what you are
and admit to this
without judgment
or justification,
then automatically
there will be peace.
And in resting in this,
you might find that this is untrue
and that really what is here
is you feel unloved.
And in the acceptance of
feeling unloved
again without judgment
or justification,
there is even a deeper peace.
And in that peace
you again see it is untrue
that you feel unloved,
that this is just an idea
in your mind
and what is really here
is just a sensation.
And if you remain true
and allow that sensation
to be,
there will be even a greater peace.
And if you remain true with this,
you might find this is also untrue,
that really what is here is simply energy,
and then simply awareness.
And then it goes beyond words
beyond that which can be
defined and explained
where all you can really admit to
is that there is no 'you,'
there is only consciousness itself.
And with each new layer
you surrender,
a deeper sense of unconditional peace
shines forth.
The problem with simply
going to the end result
of admitting
'there is only consciousness itself'
is that it becomes an idea
to live by,
and thus you separate yourself
from what is truly here.
You trade
unconditional peace and love
for some idea.
So it always comes back to
being honest with what is here
in this moment.
Not last moment
but right here and right now.
And through acceptance
awareness and inquiry,
you will always uncover
a deeper layer of truth.
If you stay true to this,
then the rest is easy.
Blessings,
Kip"
How
to Experience Divinity
"I have nothing against
self improvement.
But meditation is not
about self improvement.
Self improvement
means there is something here
that needs to be changed.
Something about yourself
that is wrong but can be fixed.
And if you work hard enough
if you try hard enough,
one day that wrong part of you
will be gone.
And then you will be happy.
But with meditation,
with awareness,
you accept yourself as you are immediately.
You accept everything as it is
in this moment.
Because if you do this,
you see you did not make yourself
to be how you are.
You simply are.
That you are scared of spiders
or you are forgetful,
or that you feel insecure around others
is not your choice.
You did not choose
to be these things
in this moment.
They are simply here,
existing on their own,
a part of your experience
that you are aware of.
And because you are aware of it,
because you accept it fully,
it is perfect.
It is divine.
You can spend your whole life
telling me how you improved.
How you used to give someone
the finger when they cut you off
on the motorway
and now you only think
about giving them the finger.
As though a day will come
when someone cuts you off
and you will have no interest
in giving them the finger
and only then you will be worthy
enough to experience divinity.
But you see, the moment
you want to give them the finger
and you are aware of this experience,
then that experience is divinity.
I am not advising
you to give people the finger.
I am advising you to be aware
of how you are in this moment
without trying to change it.
You need not act it out.
Just inwardly experience
what is there.
It is the path of surrender.
You are surrendering to what is.
And through surrender,
there is awareness
and through awareness
there is unconditional peace.
Not in the sense of saying
"I am perfectly fine that guy
cut me off on the highway."
But by being aware
you feel angry about it,
accepting that there is anger there,
and experiencing the sensation
that you call anger.
If you do this
you will come to the experience
that everything is just energy.
Energy moving through energy.
This is bliss.
This is freedom.
This is divinity.
Blessings,
Kip"
Witnessing
Explained
"The nature of existence
is peace.
You do not experience
this peace
because of your identification
with thinking.
If you can witness
the thoughts,
identification would cease
and you would experience
unconditional peace.
You can learn to witness
thoughts by letting them go
as they arise.
But thinking
is happening at great speed.
So many thoughts rushing by
that it is like being caught in
a raging river.
By beginning to
witness thinking,
you stop getting caught in the river
and thoughts begin to slow.
The more thoughts
slow down,
the easier it is to witness.
In the same way,
as you identify with thinking
the power of identification increases
and thinking speeds up.
So the more you can
inwardly slow down
the easier awareness becomes.
At first
it seems impossible.
But with persistence
everything slows down
and you begin to rest
as the witness.
It is simply a matter
of consistently choosing
to let go of the thought.
To keep coming back to awareness.
And eventually
you stop leaving
in the first place.
Blessings,
Kip"
