"One of the greatest powers

a human being has
is the power to forgive.
 
Whether it be
forgiving others
or forgiving yourself.
 
It is so easy
to point the finger at someone
and say they have wronged you.
It is easy to feel right
and justified
and live in the stress and resentment
that comes with it.
 
But it takes all of your courage
to be humble enough
vulnerable enough
to allow the other
to be as they are,
to allow your past
to be as it is,
and fall into the
freedom and love
that forgiveness
opens up to you.
